ACES Dubai is Awarded the Geotechnical Investigation for Etihad Rail Network

ACES Dubai was recently awarded the geotechnical works (Stage 2 & 3) for the prestigious Etihad Rail Network project.

Etihad Rail’s project is a 1,200 km network that will extend across the United Arab Emirates, from the border of Saudi Arabia to the border of Oman.   

The scope of geotechnical works consists of drilling of 361 onshore boreholes of depth varying between 10 to 40 meters below existing ground level (EGL), drilling of 2 offshore boreholes up to 40 m depth below seabed level, excavating 201 trial pits up to 3 m depth and conducting field testing including falling head test in soil overburden, double packer test in rock, cone penetration test, installation of piezometers, plate load test and field CBR. The scope of work also includes laboratory testing and factual reporting.

The client is Etihad Rail and the consultant is CH2M Hill International B.V..
