The Geophysics Regional Center of Excellence(RCE) has recently performed a prestigious project at Jabel Hafeet, Al Ain to investigate and evaluate the likely risk of subsurface cavities within the site up to the specified depth of significance of 30m. Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT-2D), was proposed/specified and used for subsurface cavity detection. The geophysical results were calibrated and verified by direct drilling which showed remarkable conformity.
