ACES Amman is Awarded the Geotechnical Investigation for Dikes 19 & 20 in the Dead Sea

ACES Amman was recently awarded the geotechnical investigation for the second phase of design of the rehabilitation and reinstatement works of Dikes 19 and 20, in the Dead Sea, Jordan. The purpose of this investigation is to define the subsurface conditions in the study area in order to put the dikes back in operation after a sudden and catastrophic failure occurred in 2000.

ACES Amman scope of work includes drilling of 30 boreholes and 14 Cone Penetration Tests (CPT) holes down to a depth of 50 meters, field testing (SPT and Permeability), installing standpipe piezometers, in addition to performing the necessary and applicable laboratory testing and geotechnical reporting.

The client is Arab Potash Company and the consultant  Dar Al-Hanadasah.
