ACES Holds its 5TH Annual Conference “Facing the Current Challenges & Reading the Future”

 

Arab Center for Engineering Studies (ACES) held its 5TH Annual Conference on November 24-26, 2007, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Aqaba under the heading “Facing the Current Challenges and Reading the Future”. The conference was attended by the founders of the Company, Dr. Izz Eddin Katkhuda and Dr. Omar Abdulhadi, and the regional and branch managers from the company headquarters and regional offices. The specialist and facilitator, Mr. Khaled Al kurdi, from the leading consultancy firm, Structure, was invited to the conference.

 

Highlights of the conference included welcoming remarks from Dr. Katkhuda and Dr. Abdulhadi, discussions of many topics such as how to take advantage of the current boom facing the markets where ACES operates and how to read the future in these markets in a technical and practical way where the expertise of Mr. Al Kurdi  was used in managing the conference sessions and enriching the discussions between the attendees to reach the required conclusions and recommendations, an entertainment boat trip, a visit to the city of Aqaba, touring of some important projects which were offered technical services by ACES such as Al Saraya Project, and distribution of memorial gifts to all the attendees.

 

The two founders, Dr Katkhuda and Dr. Abdulhadi, said commenting on the results of the conference: “ ACES 5TH Annual Conference represented an opportunity to evaluate the performance of the company in the previous stages, to take the necessary decisions and steps in order to face the challenges resulting from the expansion and unprecedented boom which the region and ACES offices are facing, as well as to read the future by setting the broad lines of the strategic plan of ACES for the next 5 years so that the advantages of the current boom and the huge volume of work can be fully utilized and the risks can be minimized.”
