On 02 August 2008 ALDAR Properties PJSC, Abu Dhabi’s leading developer, has awarded to ACES Abu Dhabi a 35,000,000AED contract for provision of quality control services for Yas Island Development Project, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. ACES’ scope of work will include establishment of Site Laboratory with build up area of 1,000m2, equipped with state of the art equipment and logistics for sampling and testing of concrete, asphalt, earthworks, metals and steel, post tensioning works, pile testing, non destructive testing of concrete and other tests associated with this mega project.

Yas Island occupies a total land area of 2,500 hectares. The Island will feature attractions such as a world-class motor sports racetrack, signature hotels, the Ferrari theme park, water park, and the Abu Dhabi destination retail development of 300,000 sq m retail area, links and parkland golf courses, lagoon hotels, marinas, polo clubs, apartments, villas and numerous food & beverage outlets that will create a unique international tourist destination.
