ACES-Dubai obtains IAS Accreditation

Being reliable and leading testing laboratory in the UAE, ACES–Dubai is now accredited from IAS (International Accreditation Services Inc.) to international standard of ISO/IEC 17025 : 2005. The IAS is a public benefit corporation and one of the leading accreditation bodies in the United States since 1975.

The preliminary review for the Quality Manuals and other related documents to verify the compliance of the ISO/IEC 17025 : 2005 requirements were completed during the month of May-June and full assessment was carried out during the month of November and follow-up audit on December 2006. All the assessments were completed successfully and the auditors namely Mr. Raj Nathan and Dr. Craig John Joss were impressed on the well established Quality Management System and our journey for continual improvement.

As we continue to aim high for quality services, Arab Center for Engineering Studies (ACES), Dubai bags another achievement to be the first laboratory in the UAE who obtained the accreditation certificates from Dubai Municipality for their Non-Destructive Tests. The Re-assessment and Surveillance audit carried out last Aug 2006 from 23 to 24. These include tests for Caliper Logging Test, Cross Hole Sonic Test, PS Suspension Logger (Shear Wave Velocity), High Strain Dynamic Test, Low Strain Echo Response Method and Pressuremeter (Menard).
